It's Time To Be Honest
As you begin to think about a career selection that will match up who you are and what job you want with this huge world, only you have the slightest chance of getting the choice right. No one else knows you from the inside. How can you be honest with yourself? Well, first don't expect miracles. You know what you like to do and what you do not like to do. There are aspects of life that you purely hate. So stay away from anything that has those elements in it. There are activities you really like. So try to find something that is more along the lines of what you really like to do.

The best job is where you get paid to do something that you would like to do even if you did not get paid. Sure. Easy to say. But it also might be easy to do if it is a part of your plan.

Time for an example. Say you really like symphonic music. You may have talent as a musician. Follow and develop that line. You may have organizational  skills needed by a symphonic orchestra. That way you will be around what you like even if you are not on the stage. Or, even sweep the floors of the theater. If you are thrilled with a venue, find a way to get there.

If your dream job pays no money, use it as an avocation and find something else to pay the rent/. But let your dream happen if even in such a slight way as to volunteer. Who knows, someday, if you're around and have staying power, a job paying enough may open where you want to be. Go where the action is that you want to follow. Life is too short to operate a machine you do not like. But if you like that machine, then wail on.
